Snowshoeing Through Psalm 18

Snowshoes

Over the white crust I glide
With taut rawhide
Stretched beneath the soul
of my feet.

How lovely by the riverside
The glittered path held high
and steps enlarged by
humbled tree.

Here is the secret, spacious place
Where girded and buckled to weightless strength
My winter way is made and set
perfect.
